JSA LIS All Instructor Symposium 2022
Over 160 instructors and program leaders attended this one-day jump-start on June 15, 2022, at Larchmont Yacht Club that resumed the in-person format to enhance the exchange of ideas among participants, as in a prior year shown above. An excellent group of presenters provided tools, tips, training and techniques to help all instructors become better teachers, coaches and mentors to the junior sailors in their junior programs.
*Keynote Speakers included Carmen and Emma Cowles. U.S. Sailing Rolex Yachtswomen of the Year in 2018, the Cowles got their start in the Larchmont YC junior program. After sailing as a team at the U.S. Olympic trials before the Tokyo Olympics, they are now members of the Yale University sailing team where they helped set the pace for Yale’s win at the 2022 College Women’s Team Race Nationals.
