Event Management Workshop
April 22, 7 – 9 PM

Regatta support teams at JSA clubs hosting regattas in 2026 are invited to learn about new topics and share information. Each member of your club’s junior regatta team may register individually at this link.

• This year’s workshop will provide guidance about overcoming common problems with regatta setup and scoring, presented by Kate Lenhard from Clubspot.
• We’ll also review recommendations for hosting Optimist Green Fleet and Fun Fleet racing, provided by race managers whose clubs have hosted Green Fleet together with Red/Blue/White Fleets for the past decade, including Bruce Scull from Milford YC and Erik Storck from Centerport YC.
• The workshop will also feature a discussion about  about safety management at regattas, led by experienced safety officers Tom Young from American YC and Fred Elliott from Noroton YC.
• Open discussion about topics the attendees suggest.

Regatta chairs, race officers, regatta committee members/volunteers, sailing and program directors are all welcome. Each member of your club’s junior regatta team may register at this link. During registration, please include in the comments your questions or suggestions about hosting a regatta.
