The 2025 JSA of LIS Event Management Workshop was held virtually Wednesday, April 23, from 7-8:32 pm. The resources from this workshop, including video / audio recordings and documents may be accessed through this link.

Regatta chairs, race officers, regatta committee members/volunteers, sailing and program directors were all welcomed. Each club that planned to host a regatta this summer (or thinking of hosting one in the future) benefited from having its representative(s) attend.

The meeting focused on these related topics:

• Race Document Templates with User Guide for 2025 regattas:  Brad Thompson, JSA board member, discussed how he expects the updated templates will simplify creation of race documents and encourage a consistent experience for sailors who attend JSA LIS regattas.
• Using Clubspot for Effective Regatta Management: Tucker Hersam, from the Clubspot support team, demonstrated how to use the Clubspot Help Center to get specific guidance about setting up, managing and scoring junior sailing regattas. 
• How to Make Your Regatta a ‘Wow’ Regatta: Samantha Labuzetta, Riverside Yacht Club sailing director, discussed her club’s approach to trying to make sure everyone at a regatta is having a great experience.
