Sailing is a unique sport because more often than not, you can’t really see your child learning it. Sure, at soccer or hockey camp a parent doesn’t stay throughout the day to watch, however most have a pretty good idea of what might be happening. Sailing is different because so many junior sailing parents do not know how to sail themselves. While there are so many reasons for a parent to be cautious and protective when watching their child enter the sport, its good to let them experience it to the fullest.
