SailGP Kicks Off the Summer in New York City!

Kick off the first weekend of summer on June 22-23 by cheering on the U.S. SailGP Team as it goes head to head with the F50 fleet against the backdrop of the New York City skyline.

SailGP is the world’s most exciting race on water, thrilling fans with high speeds, high action and big drama. This June, SailGP fans can enjoy adrenaline-fueled racing, entertainment, street food, beverages and more at the all new Governors Island Race Stadium location. The Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix will deliver two days of action-packed racing and entertainment! Come for the party, stay for the racing – enjoy a great weekend on Governors Island.

The Governors Island location delivers a spectacular view of the racing set against the backdrop of the world’s most iconic skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Waterfront Reserve ticket holders will have a front row seat in the grandstands complemented with giant screens, live race commentary, afternoon entertainment, food and beverage concessions and merchandise stalls. Ferry transport to / from Governors Island is also included in the ticket price.

Free S.T.E.M. workshops throughout the prior week are being planned to welcome groups of youth, who may also get a chance to see the F50s up close at the SailGP base at Liberty Landing, Jersey City, NJ.  Stay tuned for more information as the JSA works with SailGP to organize that opportunity.
