Girl’s Optimist Clinic and Regatta took place at Noroton Yacht Club for its tenth year on Sunday, July 12 and Monday, July 13, respectively.

The all-girl clinic featured all-women coaches, not including junior program instructors for varied Opti ages and skill levels. Noroton’s clinic divided sailors into groups based on experience and gave specific coaching to White Fleet sailors.

The clinic included clubhouse chalk talks and on-water sessions with focus on rigging, racing tactics and boat handling. 48 Optimist sailors raced in the Regatta, which does not count as a qualifier for JSA Optimist Champs.
