8:45 –Nicky Souter: Being an effective manager. Proper communication with staff, parents, members, and interacting with other clubs. Managing conflict and cliques among the staff and sailor groups. Boss not Peer. How to discuss the difficult topics with your staff. Adjusting your guidelines. Demand the highest standards from your instructors. Corinthian sport.

9:30 – Break Out Session # 1: Topic: Networking. Clubs sit geographically together: Area A, B & C. Pooling resources: What we can do for one another this summer? Common goals.

10:00 – Gerry Mosconi / John Johnson: Safety best practices: Policies, procedures, facilities, and equipment.

10:45 – Breakout session # 2: Topic: What I wish I’d known in my first year as Head Instructor. What are the ten additional things required to run a successful program?

11:15 – Break

11:30 – Willie McBride: Coaching Philosophy: Assess WHY are you coaching this summer. Tools to use when working with young sailors. How teaching skills are much more important than focusing on particular techniques or results.
