|Sailing Instructors||Cedar Point Yacht Club, Westport CT||Cedar Point Yacht Club (CPYC) is seeking experienced Sailing Instructors for the 2021 summer program, including college sailors who want to focus on racing. |Head Sailing Instructor||Orienta Beach Club, Mamaroneck NY||Outstanding, multi-year opportunity to lead and evolve the Junior Sailing Program at the Orienta Beach Club in Mamaroneck, New York. The Head Sailing Instructor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program, which includes adventure sailing, racing instruction and safe boat handling. The Head Instructor will manage two to three instructors and Orienta’s fleet. - Sailing Instructors: applicants should be experienced, accomplished sailors that sail year round, in LISOT, High School or College teams for example, and who show a continuing interest in improving their sailing skills at all levels. The mission of our program is to introduce juniors to the sport of sailing, which is not just an isolated skill, but also a way of life that can be enjoyed as a lifelong physical activity. The mission of our big boat program is to introduce the older juniors to big boat sailing, by promoting safety, seamanship, and competition in the day and distance races. The program will have 35-45 Opti, Laser, and Feva sailors, who range from 8 to 16 years of age; the big boat sailors, 14-16, are integral to the dinghy program. - Admin Person: will be organized, have good computer skills, some sailing experience, and good communication ability. The primary responsibilities of the Admin include managing program registration and attendance paperwork, communications with parents, assist with publishing the weekly TellTale newsletter, coordinate motorboat and premises maintenance, and manage petty cash for small purchases. All admin candidates must have a Safe Sport certification, along with current First Aid and CPR.

- The Program Director will have strong leadership and management skills, a passion for sailing, and significant experience working with children. Responsibilities include: Manage the program in accordance with best practices; Design and coordinate appropriate and engaging activities for the junior sailors when they are not able to be on the water; Communicate with parents on a regular basis; Train, schedule, supervise and evaluate instructional staff; Implement a quality assurance/safety program to assure best practices in vessel operation, instruction and safety; Monitor and maintain all jr sailing club owned vessels and equipment; Work closely with Jr Sailing chairs on program preparation and on going operations; Have proper certifications such as US Sailing Level 3 Head Instructor or higher, US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling, CPR/First Aid.
- Sailing Instructors will have solid personal sailing experiences and have a strong patience and desire to share their experience with young sailors. Instructors participate in regattas as needed along the Long Island Sound. Sailing Instructors must have a minimum Level 1 Sailing Instructor Certification, SCYC sponsor and may require Level II dependent on the instructor's role. A US Powerboat Safe Handling Certification along with current First Aid and CPR will also be required at the beginning of the season. Salaries are competitive and lunch is provided.
