The Junior Sailing Association of Long Island Sound needs a reporter/editor for junior sailing news during this summer. In this role you’ll manage our communications with sailors, families and coaches at youth sailing programs sponsored by our 40 yacht, sailing, community, beach and shore clubs. This job will be a great match if you have a creative flair for reporting, writing, taking pictures and video, and connecting with a community to publish stories for a web site, blog or newsletter. Can you engage with people online about sailing topics? If so, your ability to develop an interactive dialog with your audience by using social media such as blogs, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube will be just what we need. You’ll be an even better match if you have sailing experience, particularly as a junior-, high school- or college-sailor.
