Huguenot YC is an active racing club on Western Long Island Sound and one of the original JSA founding member clubs.  The club consists of a main club house, restaurant, storage yard with travel lift, 80 marina slips, pool and offshore island (reachable by boat only). We are looking for candidates for our Junior Sailing Program that runs from late June through mid August.  Sailors range from 8 to 16 years old and all levels of ability, 2 sessions run through summer serving 40 children each session.  Focus is to teach sailing to beginners and build to racing sailors in Laser, Feva, Optimists and C420s. Key responsibilities include safety management, coordination and communication with club staff (re support boat fleet, parent communication and regatta entries). Candidates should possess strong skills in the following areas: sailing/racing background, ability to communicate with children and adults, attention to detail and the ability to work cooperatively with other 17-21 year old staff members.  Candidates should have US Sailing Level 1 Certification and US Sailing Safe Powerboat Handling certificate. Very competitive salary being offered.
